Artist Kristin Waters
Wise has created art nearly all of her life. From an early age,
horses have been her favorite subject and pencil her favorite
medium. Today, Kristin produces original equestrian art and
commissioned portraits in pencil that have incredible detail
and nearly photorealistic qualities. She also works occasionally
in watercolor.
A great lover of equine art of all kinds, Kristin organized and
managed the Virginia Equine Artists Fall Exhibitions held in
2004 and 2006 at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington. She is
a founding member of the
Virginia Equine Artists Association and a
member of the
Equine Art Guild.
In addition to drawing and painting, Kristin does freelance
graphic design and writing. She spends much of her free time
training for and competing in the sport of
endurance horseback
